Chancel Choir of
St. John’s United Methodist Church
The 80-voice Chancel Choir of St. John’s United Methodist Church sings in worship each Sunday. In recent years, the ensemble has performed works such as the Durufle Requiem, the Mozart Requiem, and Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. In 2005 the Chancel Choir traveled to New York City to perform Messiah at Carnegie Hall. They have performed with mezzo-soprano Barbara Smith Conrad, and premiered works by K. Lee Scott and Bradley Ellingboe. They are directed by Matthew Greer and accompanied by Maribeth Gunning.
