PULSE: rhythmical throbbing; a brief sudden change in a normally constant quantity.
For the New Mexico Philharmonic, PULSE means a new approach to old music, and bringing classical music into the pulse of today’s modern electronic sounds.
On Sunday, February 12th the two forces collide and collaborate onstage at the historic KiMo Theatre in two performances designed to get the audiences’ pulses revved up. The performances feature innovative music that is geared for audiences of all ages and present classical music in the context of modern pop and electronics, which are familiar sounds for younger audiences. Performances are scheduled for 4 and 6.15 p.m.
The inaugural concert in the new series features the work of French filmmaker François Pain, who in the 1970s became one of the pioneers of the video light in France. Read more…..

Guest guitarist is Kevin Gallagher and the orchestra will feature members of the New Mexico Philharmonic.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday January 11 at 12 pm, and are as follows: $20, $30, $5-children under 12, and students with ID, $10.
